Post your thoughts here. My thoughts are the NHL Hawks are going to be in some trouble next year, lol!

What do you guys think of my deals? I paid a lot for Chara, but I got what I wanted. He will compliment Staal and Edler well. I needed a starting goalie and Hiller is locked up in Anaheim. With these two additions I expect to make the playoffs next year.

Already happy with my offseason, even if I don't make another move. Traded a 2nd to get Anderson and acquired a 2nd to get rid of Giguere, so it basically boiled down to Anderson for Giguere. Thrilled with that.

At his age I didn't think Chara's value was that high. I think the last 1st puts it in chi's favor

A little surprised at the goalie market. Prices pretty cheap for good goalies, IMO.

I am too, in years past it has been almost impossible to get a good goalie. hopefully my goalie jinx will end with ellis.................... since I had Vokoun in net I traded for, then starters, Toskala and Khabibulon..................... I still think both may start again one day, just can't seem to catch a break in net.

I'm finally in good shape in goal. Went from Aebischer to Huet to Smith to Vokoun to Quick (along with Elliot and Schneider). So finally solid now through all the trades.
Think Chara was a bit of an overpayment but LA could be a force next year.

I had 3 starters pegged for next season and didn't get any other good offers

I felt I slightly overpaid for Chara, but true #1 dmen are hard to find. I could still use a couple temporary forwards and a couple vet dmen.
Right now my roster has some holes that other players I have could potentially fill but hopefully I can add more depth through trades this offseason.
Eriksson - Koivu - Ryan - Kesler - Perry G. Campbell - Duchene - JVR Jacques - Steckel - Crombeen
Chara - Edler Staal - Fistric - Smaby Drewiske
Hiller Osgood

I've already PM'd CGY to post the trade so it is easier to read and process. Trade moderators are all over it!!
