It's the north americans that can be picked up if they're passed over. So you need to go back to waivers.

the CBA:
"Any Player not eligible for claim in any future Entry Draft pursuant to this Agreement and not on a Club's Reserve List shall be an unrestricted free agent. Further, any player eligible for claim in the Entry Draft but who was unclaimed shall be an unrestricted free agent subject to the provisions of Section 8.9(b)."
"the player, having become a defected player pursuant to Section 10.2(b)(i)(A), has become free of any obligation to such unaffiliated club(s) or such other professional hockey club(s) during the playing season by reason of its default or the dissolution of its league and has not, prior to fourteen days thereafter, entered into a valid contract for a period which includes the current and/or following season, for his services as a professional hockey player with the Club with which he was last under contract;"

meh, you're just scared of him. we follow the CBA to a point that it is relative to our league. Without our own rule on free agents that have no affiliation with a hockey club, we use the NHL's rules. You can try to make a rule for it...but really whats the point?...to prevent a 50 rated player from getting claimed? Dude...ya better step off

They say we can't claim euros until they are drafted or signed by an NHL club thus makin Elco Deboer a free agent. It would be utter chaos if we all picked random cba rules and applied them here. Maybe you can pick up a north american relative or somethin?

^^^ Sorry. I dont see that in the GMHL rules anyway.
Why are you trying to make my team better? lol.
I have no affiliation with a team. I am Canadian...just like Hull was technically born in Canada but plays for USA...an average joe can be signed anyday
