Started a new thread cause threads 15 pages + tend to crash on us.
Based on sheer number of picks, I think there might be some new challengers to CMB's title of "waiver queen."

I told Dallas it would be best to dump his players with no value and pick up some prospects with a chance to make it. He made 7 claims and got rid of 7.

Stastny, Yan (STL I hope this isn't the player who you said would be a better waiver pick up than Liles or Ekman.

Well, I got Danny Syrvet, this makes me not having a 4th pick in the draft until 78th overall a little bit easier. This also was the back door plan to me getting the 3rd overall pick, I now dont need to select as many D men in the first round, I hope...
Obviously I dont expect a ton from Syrvet either but my extremely thin defence prospect pool will greatly appreciate his value. If he makes it as a top 5 guy in the NHL then this pick was worth it. Or if I can trade him for something of more value. How many claims went in for this guy?

I didn't say any of the my current waiver pickups would be better than Liles or Ekman. You must me thinking of the time I said Antero Niittymaki is a better waiver pickup than Liles or Ekman. ps. I do really like Stastny. Not that it says much but he cracked the United State's World Championship team and he played pretty good in Germany this year. I think he has a pretty good chance of getting on Boston next season. How did Bacashihua drop to the 14th priority?

Preds can have Syvret...I dont mind but hes going into the 2005 entry draft...he was passed over before and is in the 2005 draft. As I said, Preds can have him but its just a factoid I know. with all due respect, I should be the waiver queen still The failed claim of Larose was mine too lol Also..Ekman wasnt a waiver claim. Got him in the late 30's of the fantasy along with Ryder and Daigle lol

How were Nastiuk and Bacashihua free agents? Wow.
Got 1 of my 2 claims. Randall Gelech is basically the only LWer in the Coyotes system, so I think he has a decent shot of seeing the NHL at some point.

Natsiuk probably will never make it as a starter for the Canes (he's behind Cam Ward)... but it's a nice claim. He could wind up somewhere else.

I was surprised I got Bacashihua too. but I would have traded my waiver priority for a chance in the playoffs any day. He was dropped at the end of the year but the claim that was made for him was after the deadline which held me back from claiming him at that time. Nastiuk is a longshot for the NHL since Carolina is loaded with goalies but i'll be honest...I picked him because hockeysfuture liked him

I got Chris Campoli...the top defenseman on the hockeysfuture rankings for the Isles.....had a solid rookie AHL season leading all rookie defensemen in scoring and finishing with the highest +/- on the team....

You got a good one EDM. I'm an NYI fan, and Campoli has very quietly moved up the NYI charts. He could make the team out of camp next year depending on the CBA and who they sign, trade, release. Campoli and Gervais are the best bets to make it and I have Gervais.
