Good list Blues ... One that's not getting mentioned is Ryan Miller b/c a lot of people don't know he's eligible ... but he is:
To qualify for rookie status, a player cannot have played more than 25 games in any single preceding season nor in six or more games (in any major professional league) in any two preceding seasons. A player also must not have reached his 26th birthday by September 15 of the season in which he is eligible.
Miller's numbers?
2002-03: 15 games 2003-04: 3 games
And he doesn't turn 26 until this July.

Forgot about Miller. I think goalies have different criteria than players though. Forget what it is. Something like 3 professional season prior to the NHL or 6 NHL games in the previous 2 seasons. (Checking on HF)

HF's rules aren't the NHL's rules tho ... though you guys may be right in that goalies don't get as many games.

I agree with Edmonton in that people need to quit saying "crosby will be better" or "AO will be the best" because no one knows. And honestly, people are just saying that the player they like better is the one who will turn out best. You can evaluate both players now and that's what the Calder is for, but it's stupid to try to project what they will do a few years down the road. Right now, I think it's pretty tough to argue that any rookie is better than Ovechkin. Both are phenomenal players, but to this point AO has been more phenomenal.

It's not AO's fault he was good enough to play in the Superleague for all those years, and it's also not his fault he's a 20-year old rookie. Blame Bettman for that one.. or else Ovy would've been here last year. I think Goodenow should be blamed, myself.

lol his draft year is 1 year ahead. It's just another excuse to why crosby isn't as good as AO.

theyre still both rookies and is a rookie trophy, not the youngest rookie doing slightly worse than the older rookie trophy.
