I considered it a toss up between them all, and someone had to be left out.

Would love to get everyone's assessment on my list. The "compare upside" at the end is a ceiling projection, so I'm not saying Tlusty will be as good as Sundin or anything, or that each player is capable of that production every season.
1. Jiri Tlusty, C, TOR: Big, fast and he can score. He's probably Toronto's top prospect and, despite a lack of production on a bad Czech team, has tons of upside. The fact he's coming to NA this year speaks oodles about the kid's drive to make himself NHL-ready. Compare upside to Mats Sundin.
2. Andrew Cogliano, C, EDM: Smallish, but skilled. He struggled some in Year One in Ann Arbor, so this year will be important in his development. He a good guy for the new NHL b/c his size shouldn't be too much of a factor, but he has to prove he can handle the physicality and lack of ice to work with when playing the big boys. He and Schremp should be the Oilers top centers for years to come. Compare upside to Brian Gionta.
3. Tim Ramholt, D, CAL: Finally coming back to NA. He's the next in a seemingly endless line of Calgary D prospects. He's very physical, good with the first pass and can contribute on offense. Compare upside to Sheldon Souray.
4. James Neal, C/W, DAL: I'm thrilled with this guy's progress, and with Dallas getting pretty old up front, he should see the NHL in a year or two. A good-sized forward, Neal projects a power forward. He's shown a knack for producing in the playoffs in his OHL career and seems to be turning a corner developmentally. Consistency is key. Compare upside to Shane Doan.
5. Alexander Vasyunov, LW, NJ: Could easily become my team's future. The kid seeps talent, but there's some concern about selfishness. NJ (and me) will be hoping he overcomes that and becomes the sniper he can be. Compare upside to Miro Satan.
6. Ben Bishop, G, STL: Monster goalie alert. Was stellar in his frosh season at Maine and could be a steal for the Blues. You don't come across too many 6-6/6-7 goalies, especially ones as technically sound as Bishop. He has the potential to be one of those players that changes the face of a position, like a Cam Neely or Zdeno Chara. Compare upside to Olaf Kolzig.
7. Tomas Kopecky, LW, DET: Ate up the AHL last season and will now get a shot with the Wings. He's really the only power forward in their system (or roster) who's ready to play with the big boys. It'll be really interesting to see what kind of role he has and how he reacts. Compare upside to Brian Rolston
8. Magnus Kahnberg, W, STL: A throw-in in the Doug Weight to Carolina trade, Kahnberg was thought ot be staying overseas and his rights floating into the UFA universe. Surprise — the Blues got him signed. He's 26, but this will be his first shot in NA. With the Blues inking a lot of veterans, he could get pinched a bit, but if he gets a chance he has the ability to score and handle the rigors of the NHL with his size. Compare upside to Fredrick Modin.
9. Johan Fransson, D, DAL: An offensive-defensemen, Fransson's been reluctant to come overseas and struggled some in the SEL, hurting his reputation. Still, he's a great skater and oozes offense from the blueline. His D needs work. Comapre upside to Sandis Ozolinsh.
10. Clayton Stoner, D, MIN: A tough d-man, Stoner's exceeded expectations and has progressed in each season since being drafted. He should get a long look in Wild camp this year, but will likely spend another season in A, where he proved to have a little bit of offensive ability last year. Compare upside to Colin White.
Just missed Mike Smith, G, DAL: Right now, he penciled in to back up Turco. Aaron Rome, D, ANA: He needs to get a shot soon ... solid stay-at-home d-man. Bryce Swan, C, ANA: It's too soon to know what will come of this kid.
Others: Viktor Oreskovich, RW, COL: He's got the size and skills. Now I need to see how he handles a full season in the OHL. David Booth, LW, FLA: Never improved much from his draft year stats. he's inked his pro deal, so a year in the AHL will tell me a lot. Tomi Maki, RW, CAL: If he doesn't make a move this year, he's gone. Ryan Munce, G, LA: He's behind a lot of guys in LA, but may be a little more NHL-ready. Doubtful he'll ever see a 20,000 seat arena again, but you never know. Andrew Thomas, D, WSH: Stay-at-home d-man who could work his way into a 5-7 d-man role in the NHL in a few years. Richie Regehr, D, CAL: Played some last season, let's ee if he gets more time in Calgray this year. Timo Helbling, D, TB: Could make a run at the No. 6 or 7 spot on the Bolts, especially with a well-time injury.

If Tlusty becomes anythin like Sundin i'll fly to your house and shake your hand. Did you even bother to read what I wrote in the first paragraph? While he's shorter than Sundin, he's more physical in his hitting. They're both Swedish, put up similar numbers in the SEL at a young age, good with the puck, can score but aren't considered snipers, and both exhibit solid leadership skills. Got a better comparison?

I think Kopecky should be higher. Yeah, I considered moving him up. What turned me off a bit was he was 8-8-16 in 48 games against a better AHL during the lockout. I still think he'll be plugged into the third line at least with the Wings. Maybe he'll even play with one of his Flyers' teammates (Franzén)? Babcock's hinted that Franzén should play a bigger role this season.
