I dont think there should be an extension. If hes trading for a certain pick, he should have a player in mind.
dammit Thrash...I wanted Mike Green

dammit Thrash...I wanted Mike Green Haha sorry. I was originally trying to get a forward, but all of the forwards that I was planning on selecting (and one which I didn't expect to be taken by the time my pick rolled around) with my pick were gone so I went with Green.

Just want everyont to know, that I am working on a trade that involves the 28th pick, so it may take some time before a selection. I have a question though, if I make the trade and it gets approved, how long does the GM who gets the pick have to make his selection? Does he get 24 hours from the 27th pick or from the time the trade is approved?? I hope to get a hold of the GM today but he has not responeded to my PM's yet, he may have gone away for the holiday. But if I don't hear from him, I'll make the pick and keep it for myself. If a trade is made, it can be assumed both parties are near a computer, and since one team is trading for the pick should be able to make the selection asap. However, in the event a pick is traded we can overlook the deadline for a couple hours to wait for approval and such.

Thanks for that answer, my main concern was for the approval in case CHI was not online to approve the trade or TB, but as long as it's posted before the time expires we are good to go. Thanks again. I'll have something posted by the deadline.

Well I'm not really a fan of Chucko, I think he should have and could have slid to the 2nd Round. He's definitely a project player, but I haven't read anything that has really impressed me. We'll see in a few years though.

All I know is he's going to Univ. of Minnesota next season and played with Travis Zajac this past season. But like I said, he is much more of a project than most of the other 1st Rounders.

I think there are a lot of projects in this years draft, it is not a very strong draft and you could say Valabik, Nokelainein, Dubnyk among others are all projects. I did want to move this pick originally but since I couldn't i wanted to get a forward after drafting C. Barker. There were some forwards I still liked but most were a reach to take in the first round. Chucko has great size which will benefit my team when he's ready to play. He also has great leadership skills and was a captain. I"m not expecting him to develop into T. Bertuzzi by any means. But I think he could be a captain and play on second/third line and score 20 goals.

Well, I was hoping Bolland would fall like he did in the real draft, but Fransson should give me a offensive-minded defenseman.

Hey Thrashers? Who were you expecting to be available come your pick that wasnt? Bolland. I thought he would slide to 27th, but it still would have been a tough decision for me between him and Green.
