Kings said "isles when wally offered chara for neids and a 1st why didnt you try to bargain it down?"

Kings both Wally and I talked on MSN well actually started bitching. He offered Chara for Nieds and my 1st in '05 I told him that I would go Nieds for Chara striaght up and he wouldn't have it. He said that Chara was the best in our sim and that the offer he gave me was fair. I told him that he said Nieds is at the highest value right now cause of him winning the Norris. So going by that logic shouldn't Nieds get me more than Chara. But of course he is a hyprocrite and thinks 1 value point overall is worth a 1st round pick and that Chara is better than Nieds. Something doesn't add up.

All I am saying is when I have a trade on the table he says that Nieds can get me more yet when he offers i have to give up more. Like before Wally is a hyprocrite

Chara, too, was a Norris finalist, tho. And while Niedermeyer reached his height this past season, I think we all agree that he doesn't have the upside that Chara has. Also, factor in that Chara's four years younger.

Do you think the Sens would trade Chara straight up for Niedermeyer? Ummm ... no ... no they wouldn't

What Isles it trying to say is that everyone is bashing the offers for Nieds saying that he just won the Norris. Wally traded Chara srtait up for Nied BEFORE Nieds won the Norris. Now he won't do the deal strait up for them even though he says Nieds value has increased.

so has Chara's value (see Norris finalist) ... and it's not hypocritical of Wally to turn down an offer he doesn't think will benefit his team. Wally's not saying the deal's not 60-40, he's saying, "Why would I trade Chara straight up for Nieds" for the above reasons I mentioned (upside, age).

I'm not a hypocrite. Nieds value has went up but so has Chara's.

Chara is rated better and he is younger. That's not an even deal for Nieds. I don't know how many times i have to point that out before your brain registers it.

I won the Chara/Nieds deal between the old IslesGM because of the 2 reasons above. We made the deal not knowing who would win the Norris and before the ratings came out. It just so happened that Chara got rated higher. They were both 80 OV last season.

So the d-man who won the Norris ratings didn't climb as much as the d-man's ratings who finished 2nd? If that's the case your whole rant about Nieds value increasing cause he won the Norris is bull****.
