To the New York Islanders:
Alexander Frolov Martin Prusek
To the Phoenix Coyotes:
Rick Dipietro Yannic Perreault
This trade makes perfect sence for Isles if Deslauriers can make the NHL in 3 years.
I actually think Isles came out on top.
Is your team that desperate for a shake up, Phoenix?

I like it for Phoenix. I think it's actually pretty close to 50:50. DiPietro is gonna be an awesome goalie for many years to come and Prusek is...eh.

Is your team that desperate for a shake up, Phoenix? I was relying on the fact that Conklin would be the starter in Edmonton this year, and was content to wait a year to have a goaltender with "starter" numbers. With the lack of an NHL season, I doubt our re-rate package is going to give anything to Conklin higher than a 76. Prusek and Conklin both have such a low EN that both fall below the 99 mark (before last sim Prusek was a 97 and Conklin a 98). I've pulled Ahonen up to backup a couple times and it still doesn't help. After my team's great start to the season, it was all washed away by having two goalies who couldn't play more than two sims in a row. I didn't want to repeat that next season, so I went and set loose one of my favorite players for one of my most hated. Not a popular decision in Phoenix, but hopefully a good business decision.

Paul...there's nothing happening tonight. I demand that you throw an impromptu party at your ybor digs or an impromptu game of basketball. NOW!
*this has nothing to do with the trade...just mindless rambling.

Minn gets... E. Cole J. Ninnimaa A. Ponikarovsky C. Schneider Tampa gets R. Blake P. Bondra If need be Minn. drops W. Dubielewicz. Approved by Chicago Dang, Tampa must not be looking to the future real far IMO. He's already old, and got older.

Very good trade for Minnesota IMO. Had to give up some major league talent (right now) in Blake and Bondra, but gets very good return for the future. That's gotta be some kind of record, did you even have Bondra for a week?
Did the Bezjak bros control Montreal and Washington? Because otherwise I thought it was a very even deal.

yeah it just brought back memories, we think that it was one person claiming to be brothers lol but he pulled a really lopsided trade that went through, alfredsson and brisbois for bertuzzi (before he got suspended) and Ohlund or something.

great trade by Minny ... definitely makes TB an EC favorite, but I think Minny will still be a playoff team this year and he wins in the long run.

Yea I remember what happened. Just wasn't sure if it reminded you of it because of the teams involved or because you thought it was a lopsided deal.
