I agree with Rangers, I looked at that trade and scratched y head... he got wideman off waivers as a offensive defenceman which we all know theres only like 5-6 that actually have full time NHL jobs without being able to play D (zidlicky, Berard etc) and Radulov who like Rangers said might never come back and might not be good enough too....

Blah, blah, blah. Since when do you all care what I do with my team. I make a trade for myself and not for anyone else. I mean do you really think I would get a great prospect or a great player for MacInnis. He is 42 years old and will retire in 1-2 years. I wanted to get something for him before he retires and I did.
As for Radulov, he may come to NA and play again he may not, but you can say that to all the prospects out there and that is that they may play or they may not. It is a gamble that everyone takes when picking a prospect.

Zids and Berard CAN play....watch much hockey last year? watch the world cup? lol Zids - 53 points in his 1st year Berard - 47 points in 58 games

I'm curious to know what people think about the PHI/NYI trade with Camm/Vokoun for Gonchar/DiPietro. I'm not sure this one is 60/40, think PHI will have to add something to it. Don't think PHI has to add a ton. Vokoun is still young and rated very high, and Camm can be a top 6 forward. Dipieitro will be about an 81-82 when he maxes out and Gonchar is probably at his higest rating now. I think maybe 70-73 type player, maybe third pairing D or third/fouth line forward. I think Philly needs to add something. Vokoun is good, but DiPietro came into his own last year and IMO, his age equalizes it. Cammaleri just isn't up to par with Gonchar, which is why I think something else needs to be added. Cammaleri may end up being solid, but Gonchar is probably the best offensive d-man in the entire league right now.

A 2nd round pick probably makes that trade 60/40 No way IMO. Islanders gets: G Tomas Vokoun C Mike Cammalleri Philadelphia gets: G Rick DiPietro D Sergei Gonchar I know a lot of other players were involved when I dealt Gonchar to NYI but I got a huge return. Like Atlanta said Dipietro's age at least equals Vokoun because he isn't far off and he's a few years younger. Then we're left with Camalleri and a 2nd (suggested by Buffalo) for Gonchar Camelleri is a good one sided prospect but Gonchar is the best offensive defensemen in the league. I got Paul Mara and much more when I dealt Gonchar so I can't see why Camelleri and a 2nd would even come close to 60/40.

I mentioned Zidlicky and Berard as a couple of the very few mostly only offence defenceman in the NHL. Obviously they can play defence decently but its not whats keeping them in the NHL, not many defenceman can make the NHL almost on offence alone which is what I think Wideman is about.
