I don't usually get involved too much in these trade debates because it doesn't accomplish much and people always get pissed off. It's kind of like talking politics with this group, it just shouldn't be done. However this trade is one of the worst I've seen. Blues I can defend you somewhat in that Gonchar is only 30 and one of the best offensive D in the game. He is bonafide #1 and not just an average #1. Langkow MAY benefit from playing with Iginal but who knows when that may happen. In our league he's a good third liner and above average second liner. Konowalchuk is mid age role player. He's a checking line type guy good for third line duty. Everyone else you gave up sucks and I have no problems saying that. Tamer, Aitken and Mondou amount to nothing and I don't care how good Mondou has been in the Q, everyone scores in the Q. Now let's see who you got back: Gagne who is still extremely young and one of the rising stars in the game. Probably a first line player. Kvasha who is coming off a career year in the NHL and is also very young, probably a second line player right now. Rachunek who is also very young and on a lot of team could be a second pairing. Mara also pretty young and is also a second pairing if not first on some teams. Markov also young could be a top 4 pairing. All 3 D you got could be top 4 pairing in the future. So you got 3 potential, if not already, top 4 D all under 27 and 2 young wingers both under 27 that are first or second line players for Gonchar, a third line role player, an average second line player and a bunch of crap. Go ahead and rip me apart for what I just said I don't care, I have no hard feelings and can handle criticism. I've made bad deals myself and one was with you, STL, I've learned to be more cautious about my trades and to ask for others opinions now, maybe NYI shoudl do the same.

Guys if you read my original post on this trade I told Blues to take it down and that don't worry about it cause as it seems everyone is bitching about this trade. So to keep somewhat of a peace level I want this trade to be rejected. Sorry Blues.
So Tampa I will PM you and please reject the offer.
I am no longer taking anymore trades. I will keep my team as is and build within.

I am no longer taking anymore trades. I will keep my team as is and build within. My advice is ask a couple gms if they think it's a good deal or not. Gm's do that all the time. I've done that a few times. One of the smartest gms asked me about a trade just the other day.

I actually agree with your post except my opinions of within 60/40 differ. I personally feel Langkow is more of an averahe 1st liner not an average 2nd liner. I believe any team in this league without an 80 OV guy there would love to have Langkow as a 2nd liner. Same goes for the NHL. Also as a Flyers fan I sure as hell hope Gagne becomes a 1st liner but Pitts and me will argue until we are Blue in the face we disagree. I see Gagne as a top defensive player and a 2nd liner. I really hope he becomes better than that obviously for the Flyers sake but im just not sure after seeing im regress two years in a row. And the thing with Gonchar is he really isn't cheap to get. Like I said I traded a 78 OV and a 77 OV for him. I know that's less than what im getting for him though.

So this deals not going through then? I think Blues deserves congrads on the would be deal. He gave new meaning to the saying "I am your daddy." By the way, Wally is referring to me and I don't know for sure as of yet but I think he's also planning to come out of the closet. ...Actually, it's not that shocking. ps- yes i do wish wally.

So this deals not going through then? I have not recieved a PM from Tampa. He posted under the trade "under review by Tampa" so he has to make up his mind if I have to add anything. Some people may view the 30 year old 82 OV defensemen more valuable than others have here. I know the only reason I traded him was because I liked every one of the players I was getting back. No matter what this deal is going through though. Once trades are posted they are final. If Tampa does believe I should add some I will most likely meet his demands as long as they don't exceed what im willing to add. Im hoping if I had to add anything it's minimal or I may just keep Gonchar
