To Pittsburgh: Jason Woolley Francis Beauchemin To Florida: Aaron Ward Stefan Ruzicka Pending Wally's Approval. I think lost pretty bad here. He gets Woolley who is a few years older than Ward and a 74 OV to Ward's 72. The thing is he trades Ruzicka who has a real good chance of being a top 6 foward for the Flyers in the future. He is another one that Pens dislikes for w/e reason but he's definitely worth more than what you got in this deal. Beauchemin is tagged as a #6/7 defensemen by TSN and he played all last year in the AHL. Waiver player.

I've already told you that Rosie is one of my favorite players in the world, I see him 40 times a year and think he's highly overrrated, that's all.

Man, Atlanta got a steal here, IMO. Reichel's good for this year only b/c he's going to keep playing overseas ... and any forward that Mike Millbury gives up on is destined to become a star

Isbister's value is round that of a 2nd rounder and i'd easily choose the 2nd rounder. Not to mention a 74 OV foward for at least this year but most likely he'll be rated as a 4th liner next year and possibly the year after if he doesn't make a return.

Buffalo wins because of the 2nd rounder. it has more value than either of these no-hopers.

Yeah, I wasn't looking for a whole lot for Isbister, so this deal made pretty good sense to me. Reichel may not be around much longer, but he'll be decent for me this season.

I was just trying to get younger with this deal. To me, Reichel and Isbister have about the same value, but Isbister is only 27. The 2nd rounder made up for the age difference. Plus, I have way too many centers and I needed a left winger.

Reichel won't be rated next year (unless there's no season) so his value is very limited, IMO. Isbister has a chance to be very, good, IMO ... not Bertuzzi or Guerin, but a 20- to 25-goal guy. I think he's worth more than a second.

How is Reichel not going to be rated? Is he retiring? I wasn't under the impression that he was retiring or anything.

my bad ... but 3-4 points makes him virtually useless, I think you'll all agree. 70 OV forwards are a dime a dozen

Yeah, the more I think about it, I probably should have taken Perreault instead of Reichel, but oh well, the deal is done. Nothing I can do about it now. I don't see Isbister being too great. He's played 8 seasons in the NHL and has only had 20 goals once. He's only played more than 65 games in a season twice. I just don't see him blossoming into anything great. Although I should've just waited and used him, or gotten something better. No worries though, I made the deal and I'm not going to bitch about it.

I'm not so sure that Reichel's ratings will go down this year. Does that mean that Thornton's ratings will go down because he's playing overseas also? Because of the lockout, the ratings may not be as affected by players in Europe because half the freakin NHL is over there right now.
