Yeah, if they went undrafted in the past, they're eligible for waivers.. Kind of screwy right now since we haven't done the draft and all..

well with all the picks being traded around, the selection order thread needs to be made first

I'll take a crack at the first round myself:
1) Toronto 2) Carolina 3) Chicago (from LA) 4) Carolina (From CGY) 5) Boston 6) San Jose 7) Ottawa 8) Chicago (from PHX) 9) Chicago (From NYI) 10) Tampa Bay 11) Dallas 12) Washington 13) New Jersey 14) Chicago (From NYR) 15) Colorado 16) Chicago (from CBJ) 17) Nashville 18) Chicago (from MON) 19) Anaheim 20) Vancouver 21) Detroit 22) Minnesota 23) Pittsburgh 24) Chicago 25) Buffalo 26) Atlanta 27) Calgary (from FLA) 28) St. Louis 29) Washington (from EDM) 300 Philadelphia
That should be correct. Let's do this thing.

now it's corrected. no offense, but we have left it to the draft official for several weeks now to no avail. that list i made had one mistake which is now corrected. so why cant an admin just start a selection thread and we can work out any more kinks as we go? 5 picks could take up to 5 days and they often do, so let's get this started. just like you helped out with waivers, and thank you for that btw, some of us could help with the draft if it would get it moving.

it takes a click of a button on the sim to get a draft order made up. Literally no more than 5 minutes

Also the NHL draft order is not cut and dry including the lottery. It consists of the SCC picking 30th, losing team 29th, the better of the 2 other teams in the conference finals picking 28th and the lesser team picking 27th. IE: The Washington Capitals the President Trophy winners picked 26th overall.
Our rules are made up as per the NHL's so that's how we organize our draft as well.
The bottom 5 should consist of
St. Louis 26th overall Detroit 27th overall Atlanta 28th overall Edmonton 29th overall Philadelphia 30th overall

I just dont want to step on anyones toes. it would be nice to have 2 or 3 people to check our work. obviously ive missed some. also, i was just using CBJ's waiver order as the basis for the draft order. If that was not how we do it, then I'll have that corrected soon. In the mean time, we should either get this started nowish, or set a due date for some time in the very near future. when nothing happens in this league, people lose interest and then we have to search for new gms again. let's not let this happen again.

I'm going to post this in both threads but how about we post a target date for the entry draft and send a league e-mail or w/e. ie: Next Monday 8/2 or start on Sunday morning August 1st or something. Once the first 30 picks are placed in it should be pretty simple to keep track of BPA and 24 hr rule.

Ok a few things regarding waivers: Ben Lovejoy - claim is void as he is on NYR files in my spreadsheet. Also what are the rules regarding selecting players through waivers that were drafted this year. I know it has something to do with their age and draft year but not sure what rules we follow. The reason I ask is that several players taken though waivers were just drafted this year: Fredrik Pettersson Wentzel, DOB 7/23/91, drafted 5th round/128th overall Dalten Prout, DOB 3/13/90, drafted 6th round/154th overall Kellen Jones, DOB 8/16/90, drafted 7th round, 202nd overall Zach Trotman, DOB 8/26/90, drafted 7th round, 210th overall so what did we decide on this? it wasn't very clear. These guys are still up for grabs in the gmhl draft, because they were nhl drafted this year, right?
