Other than that, happy with my waiver claims. I can't believe it took this long for someone to get Backstrom. Dakers could be the backup in SJ if one gets moved though. Sauer is still fairly young and plays a good defensive game. Enstrom could come overseas and QB the ATL PP. Giroux impressed with his brief callup last year and could see more playing time. Liked what I saw out of Miller in the playoffs and he could earn a full time position next year.

wow, I thought for sure Backstrom was on a roster...

Ottowa claimed Scott Parse, who is on my team...and it looks like he tried to claim Joe Piskula as well but maybe there was a typo and he was awarded to New Jersey

happy with my claims, Teddy Purcell could turn out to be a poor mans Vanek and Cory Murphey may be runnung the RL Panthers power play this year

I was shocked to see Backstrom still available too. I was just hoping I didn't misspell his name when running the searches. He should provide me with the backup goalie I desperately need.

I'm giddy with my claims. Got everyone I put in a claim for except Zanon (had him earlier in the year, should've held on) and Murphy (knew someone was going to get him after WC).

Hiller should step right in and be a backup for Anaheim, since either Giggy or Bryz will likely be gone, and Carter and Walter should both get shots at roster spots next year. Madsen's a nice pickup, tho now that i hear EDM wanted him, I'm skeptical

I think nobody went after backstrom cuz there r 2 niklas backstroms and everyone that searched for him would see him on chicago and think he was taken.

hey now I'm good at the waiver pick ups wit guys like Campoli, Brett Clark, Lee Stempniak and Cristoph Schubert all being plucked off the waiver wire by yours truly.... I also got a couple prospects off waivers that'll do big things.
