doesnt say anything about in the rules..besides, I dont think I could be considered a threat to abandon my team I think we stopped Rangers from dealing a pick real far off before. However, you're not going anywhere so I don't care if they let it go through. With that said I think it's a really lame trade and bad team management. on my part? i understand where you are coming from, but I feel like wiavers are just as good a resource for prospects as the draft, if not better. And yeah, that is a lot of draft picks for one player, but he is a really good young player |

I don't know yet really what this trade is going to look like in 5 years, but until then we'll won't know who one. Thats the thing about the draft-HE could have given me a few very good players but also not all 1st rounders even make the NHL. If i look at the history of my team Nystrom and Taticek were top 10 picks and look what they ended up as. Obviously as a rebuilder I love the deal, but i wouldnt do it if that wasnt direction I was going.

It's not the NHL so we don't have our own scouts but it's just hard to accept 6 1st rounders ever getting traded.

Jk Jk I just think you could have gotten alot better more proven talent for those guys. Picks are risky. But then agian I'm not a big gambler. |

Basically...I don't really care about winning that much. I'd rather see young players develop then lose to wally every year in the first 3 rounds.

I dont see how 6 1st round picks for Brad Richards is even fair... didnt he just come off a bad season?

I guess thats the thing, a 26 year old who had the season he had (25+45) - and is considered a very bad season.
