A good fantasy draft eh? You traded decent prospects (nothing special besides Lupul) for Poti. Then you traded Poti who had a poor season for McCabe who had an excellent season. You traded 1 decent prospect (again Volchenkov is no Adam Foote) and two high picks in a rather weak draft for Niedermayer. You traded Adam Foote and a prospect who is looking to be a bust for JBO, Staal, and Bouchard. You traded 2 prospects who should of had good seasons but didn't for Sundin. You traded a few older 3rd line players for Brendan Morrow who just helped you get Kovalchuk who was the final piece for your dynasty. Your team wasn't built through the fantasy draft. You came out with a good team no better than 4-5 other teams. Your now an excellent team through trades. Like i said, you know all my trades lol. My team was built through the draft. If i had to do it over again i wouldn't.

Like mine, I may not have the best team but Mario and Jagr are probably going to be two really high paid guys. Roenick, Foote, and Aucoin as well. Someone's core is going to put them over the cap. Depending on what kind of salaries we use Forsberg and LeClair would be 20 mil by themselves for me.

FHL's salaries. Just check the out on the web page. Mario was 7.6 mil at age 37. That's a good indicator of what your 2 guys will be.

Slowley but surely the salaries will even it out. Say Sundin ends up with a 1 year contract in our first year (random contracts for the first year) then someone can easily outbid Wally, because of the cap he will have 0 spending money pretty much. We have to set it up that we don't lose our star players for nothing. The NBA is set up terrible cause you can lose a 1st round pick of 3 years ago if a team with tons of cap space out bids you for him. I'm sure we'll figure somethin out.

Because everyone PMed him trying to rip him off because he's new. The difference is he knows his stuff because he was hand picked. Hmmmm The point is anyone can have a good team. Pitts did it in his first 10 days. If this league was about me i wouldn't want salaries. Me and Kings were the ones tryin to convince everyone to use them to even out the playing field.

I think you should either have a set date to get your team under the cap to keep your player or you lose him 55-45.

how bout a luxury tax of .5 points for every game you play over the cap limit? What do you mean? You lose 500k per game? I don't think that would work. If you have 3 games a sim you lose 1.5 right there. Your 51 mil cap space is like gold.

On going over the cap, you have three days to get under. After those three days each day the worst rated player is dropped from your team until you can A. Get under cap or B. Enough players are dropped so that you are under cap.

Enough players are dropped so that you are under cap. Aren't those sharks rules? I don't think teams being over the cap will be a problem. We can rush the fhl files out right away. So when the new ratings come out we get the files out a week after. That will give everyone from mid june to mid september (4 months) to get under the cap. If a trade puts 1 team over the cap it's illegal. So once the season starts everyone is under the cap for the whole year.
