I don't think the trade is that unfair. I think Blues got the better end of the deal, but a lot of it depends on where that first rounder ends up. Come on Preds, even you have said yourself that 3rd rounders in this league don't carry that much value.

Your probley right but still, Alberts is better then anything else I could have gotten with the 3rd rounders, would anybody be opposed to trading a 3rd rounder or two for Hall Gill? who he is alot like, 'cept with the ability to skate and good speed for his size..... |

ok good, I dont think 3rd rounders are useless at all. Im one of the GMs who thinks we should draft like 5 rounds deep each year! I have 5 picks in the first three rounds next draft and I plan to use all 5 actually, going to have to free up roster space somehow to do it though.

^^^True dat. When Jagr was a Cap, every time we'd play the Bruins our commentators would say "Jagr says that Hal Gill is the toughest defenseman in the league to play against."

^^^True dat. When Jagr was a Cap, every time we'd play the Bruins our commentators would say "Jagr says that Hal Gill is the toughest defenseman in the league to play against." Funny cause when Jagr was on Pittsburgh Chris Therien would shut him down. Bertuzzi actually said he'd rather wear a strait jacket then play another game against Therien after the Nucks played the Flyers this year. |

and how does that relate to the previous conversation?? I was actually going to say Jagr said something in regards to Therien but I can't place it. Most Philly fans know the only thing Therien is good for is shutting down Jagr. |

Therien may have been big but he sure as hell wasn't physical  He was able to contain him....mostly Therien was good at stopping people cold and letting the puck go by...mind you this wasn't hitting this was like being a defensive linemen in football. |

I can help by taking MacArthur and Spezza or Vanek(GOD) off your hands:P Coulda had MacArthur for free a few months back. Now hes worth something. I woulda got him like 6 months back rather than just like 2 but I thought someone already had him... Make me an offer lol, actually no, you make too many trades as it is, youd trade for MacArthur then trade him away in 4 months, you seem to do that too much. Like has anyone on your team not come to it through a trade? |
