so Anaheim, I guess you took a couple of players who possibly could be considered to go down in there draft rankings 1 year after their draft. Both Ladd and Thelen were considered slightly bust players. I guess the whole year wasnt too exceptional but kinda sucks for a 1-4-8 first round... with the exception of the obvious good pick of Ovechkin, doesnt look like a real good job done lol, just stirring the pot.

I like my picks a year afterwards and wouldn't change them. I took Alexandre Picard 10th and Drew Stafford 11th. I ended up dealing Drew Stafford in a deal for Scott Walker but I still like him and he impressed me during the WJC's. He was team USA's 3rd best player IMO behind Kessel and Fritsche.

My 04 draft was quite lacklustre, as I would think most GMs was. This is my draft: Tukonen Kaspar Lepisto Sersen
Nothing too spectacular but we'll see in 3-4 years I suppose. At least none of them had a negative year really, all of them progressed in some shape or form.

My draft picks are average at best rite now...I have 2 that are doing well but the other 2 are dragging them down...
Nokelainen is doing great Baier moved up this year Tesliuk was non existent and still is and David Shantz went to not even starting for his OHL team....

My draft looks OK right now
Barker played well this year Chucko had a learning year but his skating still needs work Painchaud did nothing to impress Kolasau is still a project Schneider (acquired in trade) did nothing but impress, hopefully he can stay healthy

lesse
Montoya had a rough year, and no matter how much Wally hates him, he can still be a very good goalie
Fistric had his jaw broken twice, but otherwise played well in the handful of games he played
Olvecky had a decent year in with a stacked Dukla Trencin team in the slovak leage

Rob Schremp was on a team that won 30 straight games and the memorial cup, and he learned to play a little bit of defense in there as well.
Lauri Korpikoski has six assists as a rookie in the Finnish leagues.
Roman Voloshenko scored six goals in the Russia vs CHL challenge, two goals (on the 3rd line) in the WJC, and 11 points in 19 games with the Soviet Wings of the High League.
Zdenek Bahensky came across the pond to play in North America. He didn't do anything big enough to make me notice him during the year tho.
Juraj Gracik also came over to play in the WHL - scoring 4 goals in 33 games before missing half the season with either a shoulder injury or playing in the WJC w/ Slovakia.

I like Fistric, I think he is a quite underrated defenceman out of this draft. He has quite a mean streak to him and is going to surprise people I think.
