#6 Lauri Tukonen #22 Lukas Kaspar #36 Sami Lepisto #64 Michal Sersen Tukonen is a really young player who i've heard is almost NHL ready. Don't think he has a lot of offensive potential but he will be a good 2-way foward. I really wanted Lepisto and I was considering taking him with my 38th overall pick but you picked him before me anyway. I was trying to get a pick in the 50s to draft him. I think he has a good chance of being a top 4 defensemen but the Caps have so much depth I don't know if he'd fit in. The real reason I wanted him was he was Joni Pitkanen's old D partner though

Anybody want to evaluate each others drafts? I don't know a ton about some people but i'll add in my 2 cents if someone posts their draft. Maybe later on post why you picked a certain player and skipped over another guy. Here is mine 10th overall- Alexandre Picard 11th overall- Drew Stafford 67th overall- Wes O'Neill (traded to NYR) 70th overall- Denis Parshin 73rd overall- Oscar Hedman 75th overall- Rob Bellamy 91st overall- R.J. Anderson 92nd overall- Shawn Weller any comments? did anyone else make as many picks as I did OK...I don't know a whole lot about a couple of your picks, but you did pretty well. There were a couple times when I was hoping someone would fall and then I'd look and you had taken them. Let's see...Picard and Stafford are both solid picks, nothing spectacular, but safe picks. I can't stand O'Neill, I don't think he has any hockey sense. Parshin is a boom or bust, but if he does something, look out (I wanted him). Hedman is a solid pickup, and Wellar was a nice pickup considering it was in the 90's. Overall: B+

I only intend to select one more player and Im still debating if Im going to do that even... I am not gonna research your draft selections too much St louis but I really liked picarde and Hedman, I didnt know hedman was drafted or I woulda taken himwhere i took sersen.... do'h I think stafford will pan out to be a decent 3rd liner though, notmuch more. But he is ging to be an NHLer i think. What do you think of mine? #6 Lauri Tukonen #22 Lukas Kaspar #36 Sami Lepisto #64 Michal Sersen You had some early picks which helped but you did well with them. Tukonen should be a very good player IMO. Kaspar was a nice pickup at 22, I really think he could be one of the sleepers in this draft. I thought you took Lepisto a little early, but he should make the NHL eventually. Don't know much about Sersen. Overall: B

do mine now....do it!........do it!
#23 Petteri Nokelainen #38 David Shantz #53 Roman Tesliuk #83 Paul Baier
I went to HF.com and apparently Shantz and Baier were impressing people out the ying yang at their prospect develpment camps. I of course picked Shantz becuz Don Cherry said he is gonna be good....I hope he wasnt complimenting him becuz he was a icedog....

I really only know much about your first two picks, and I don't even know that much about them so I'm probably not the best judge. However, Nokelainen is kind of a wild card. He has the talent, but doesn't use all of it. I'm not sure what to think about Shantz. His playoffs were spectacular, but his reg season numbers were pretty average. Jury is still out on him IMO.

There's not much to my draft. I had the 25th overall but traded it away because there wasn't anyone I was dying to get. Now I just need the Rangers to suck in two years... I may be making one more pick, we'll see:
#27 Mike Green #57 Kyle Wharton #87 Martins Karsums
These picks all help my depth. Green could be a solid pts contributor on the backline and I thought Karsums was a steal at 87.

Just out of curiosity, how would MTL know you have a big weiner, anyway? It was the role-playing we did that inspired him to become a police officer
