Washington recieves: Patrick Lalime Andreas Lilja Kurt Foster Florida recieves: Felix Potvin Mikko Koivu Eric Weinrich pending Chicago's approval Wow, this is a brutal trade for Florida IMO. Downgrades in the net and on defense... he must really like Koivu. I'd almost consider this out of the 60/40 rule. |

I think that Mikko Koivu will definatly pay off. He's gonna be a very good player and he's not gonna be rated any less then a 78 once he gets going. Kurt Foster isn't really anything except big. He'll never be a top 4 defender. So really the trade was more like Koivu, Weinrich, and Dafoe for Lalime and Lilja(who isn't that great of a defensmen either) I suppose I could throw in a draft pick but I don't really think that it's out of the 60/40 rule. |
