Is there a reason the 4 guys were not already dropped through waivers. I even suggested posting this in your trade or sending to waivers which were due last week.

I need to check lines.
After i traded Gaborik my teams salary was never upgraded. I have 4 guys in mind that i need to drop to get under the cap. I was at 100. Then i traded Kopitar to get me to 93. Then i traded Gaborik to get me to 86.
I think i was at 86 after Gaborik. You just dropped like 12 mil for me.

The GMs over the cap/roster size had plenty of opportunities to get under, but despite the rules, I really don't like how now one team can amass an awesome team just by having the fortune of a high waiver priority. Since the site was acting up and everything, could we just freeze those players from their roster without dropping them for now until they get under? So they'll still be owned by those GMs, but they just won't play until drops are made.

For those teams over the roster limit, I am still dropping those players. The players that have been dropped were not rated, and will not really affect any teams moving forward as most are older, not even playing, or not on an NHL team, so I don't think any GM will have a problem with those drops. For those teams over the cap, I can add back those players, but waivers are due tonight and were due last week as well. I will add those players back to roster, but those players must be sat until under cap. Chicago - your salary is correct at 92,504,000, not sure where the error occurred, but you do have 11 million still to drop. I have checked my spreadsheet several times and the number 92.5 is accurate.

Well the last pm i have from you with a full roster (pre any trade) you told me my cap was 100 mil.
The pm is dated Oct 4th. I have Kopitar, Skille and Gaborik all on the roster.
Between the 3 they make 15.1 mil.
They've all been traded.

Yeah, again not sure where the error occurred, but the numbers posted on site now are accurate. Your current salary cap is 92,504,000. I know it's not what you were told, don't know if I misread the files or it miscalculated, but that is where you are at regardless and that is accurate.

I guess, I'd have to go back and add the rest of those players back into files. All I know is that the numbers are accurate now, I apologize for the error, can't change just need to address it.

Do we know what we're doing in regards to trading within our teams?
That could help my situation out a lot.

So the site is down, again . Once it is back up I will upload files and send out league file. Hope to start the sim for our Saturday sim. I have added back to rosters the rated players that were dropped due to being over salary cap. Since no one seems to like the rule of having highest paid player dropped to get under the cap, I'm going to modify that rule to make it say the highest paid player(s) will be "suspended" until the team is under the cap. Does that work for everyone? As for the trades within teams, we only had 5 or 6 votes but only one person said no, so trades between teams will be allowed but will be looked at not only by Philadelphia but also by myself to make sure it is a "trade" for both teams. In the case that Philly or myself wants to trade between our own teams, I'm hoping another GM, maybe Washington, can also look at the trade. I know Washington has been very active and is always looking to help out, so I'm hoping he won't mind stepping up.

Suspending the highest paid player(s) to get under the cap is a good idea. They would still count towards roster size and all. I dig it.

The site seems to be crashing all the time now. Have you heard anything from the host about the problems they're continually having?

Site being down does really suck.
I can make a couple trades with Montreal to get my team under the cap. Just need the site up to check stuff out.

Yeah the site has been down a lot, I've been out the past 2 nights and have had busy days at work. Going to try and email tomorrow in between my trainings, since I'll be out again tomorrow night.
