I dunno if you want this here or not Praline, but here is the info from last years lottery so you dont have to repost it. Also what day will we be conducting it? Now that the season is within view of ending, maybe we could pick a date and reveal it nice and early. Maybe the day after the season ends, which would be the day before playoffs I assume?
A reminder for everyone, or for new GMs. We use an online "dice rolling" to determine who wins the lottery. The dice will have 1000 sides to it, which are broken into certain percentages for each team out of the playoffs. Last place has a 25% chance of winning the draft and keeping the 1st overall spot, whereas 2nd last has an 18.8% chance of winning it and moving up to 1st. So on and so forth... The winner of the lottery moves up 4 spots, dicplacing everyone above them down 1 spot. So only the bottom 5 have a chance of landing 1st overall, but every other non-playoff team has a chance at moving up 4 spots if one of there numbers is rolled. We'll asign a group of numbers to the actual teams once the standings are finalized. This is about all the non playoff teams have to look forward to until the draft... Though playoffs are exciting too.
Chicago (From Dallas) 1-250
Atlanta (From New York Rangers) 250-438
Edmonton 439-580
Ottawa 581-687
Chicago (From Florida) 688-768
Chicago (From Pittsburgh) 769-830
Nashville 831-877
San Jose 878-913
Chicago (From Vancouver) 914-940
Carolina 941-961
Philadelphia (From Atlanta) 962-976
Chicago (From Boston) 977-987
Anaheim 988-995
Detroit 996-1000
